Lady Gaga proved she is a fashionista to the highest degree when she dropped $133,075 at Daphne Guinness’ sale at the Christie auction house in London.

It is the most money ever spent on an Alexander McQueen look.  Lady Gaga, a friend of the late designer, phoned in her bid from the States.  The proceeds from the auction benefited the Isabella Blow Foundation, created in memory of the late fashion editor who committed suicide after a long battle of depression. Daphne Guinness put 102 pieces from her high-end designer wardrobe up for sale for the occasion, and the auction raised four times the pre-sale estimate with a total of $744,285.

After the sale,  Daphne Guinness tweeted: “THANK YOU my friend Lady Gaga. You are a real person and a great one! Your proof of friendship, your time was very touching XXXX.”

Lady Gaga has truly inspired and shown us that being a fashionista can help to aid a great cause!
